This is Ed Bachrach.

Ed Bachrach is the retired chairman and CEO of Bachrach Clothing, Inc., a nationwide retailer of men’s fashions and the founder and president of the Center for Pension Integrity in Chicago. He is the co-author of The New Chicago Way: Lessons from Other Big Cities, and his op-eds have been published in the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, and Chicago Sun-Times. He graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Business Administration and from Harvard’s Kennedy School with a Master in Public Administration.

In addition to his business and public policy work, Ed has supported a variety of efforts worldwide for decades. He founded the Build Cambodia Foundation in 2002 to support health care in the rural and urban areas of Cambodia. He helped Friends Without a Border to provide pediatric medical care in Southeast Asia and Hope Worldwide to deliver free medical care for the poor in Cambodia, and also sponsored TB treatment in North Korea to treat multiple drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and standard TB cases in Cambodia. He resides in Chicago and Decatur, Illinois.

The Bachrach Family Foundation is a 501(c)3 private foundation which aims to enable medical and scientific discoveries, but for our generosity would remain aspirations.  Usually, this means we are involved before government.  Before industry.  Before other donors.  Before the safety nets.
